I haven't gotten the opportunity to hear the new line of Classe products.

But, I have heard that the CT series are comparable to the Delta series amps,(dead quiet). In that case, It's a solid performer to say the least. I am of the opinion that any Classe product is a wise choice. They have a proven track record, excellent customer service, and thier gear is bulletproof over the long haul.

To hear the older CA 150, 300, and 400 series amps, I can honestly say that more power offered a smoother presentation of the music as opposed to other ss amps once you start going for more wattage.

I haven't made any committments on any amplifiers yet.

I have heard a few models of Classe' amplifiers and I like what they do in most areas not all.

I am intrigued with the Goldmund amplifiers and have listened to a pair of Mimesis 18.4 monos. I like everything they do because they do it so very well.

I will audition the Boulder 1060 when the opportunity arises. Hopefully I will be able to match the Boulder 2010 preamp with the 1060 amp. I know of nobody that has ever been dissatisfied with ANY aspect of what Boulder does electronically or digitally. And from what I have read, I have concluded that Boulder is the best solid state audio gear on the planet.

thanks for asking,
Mark

Soulful... there is a discussion going on right now on A.A. about Boulder that you may want to check out before you make any conclusions .

I have auditioned a system w/ Boulder pre and mono amps, fronted by by an Esoteric CD/SACD player, Nordost cables, Focal speakers.
Very nice system, very costly system but felt the sound was too dry and thin for my tastes....

Having just read the comments on the on line review of CT-M , I thought I would bring the discussion over here .
I had to reply to Staxguys comment on the sound of the CT-Ms . I heard them with the same speakers , B&W 803 diamonds , I also heard them with the 802s in an average but large room and thought the system sounded great . One of the best mid fi and best bang for the buck systems I've heard in recent memory . Also preferred the appearance of the CT-M over the CA-M and most other components . I don't no what front end components Staxguy heard with the system he listened to but I can't imagine any audiophile/music lover not liking this gear as I heard it , personal preference or not .
Regards Tim

Hi. I thought I would bring this conversation, which died in march, back. I'm in the market for a new 2-channel system and I've just had a chance to hear the CT-M600s with the 802 diamonds and it sounded pretty nice.

What about preamp? Does anybody have any suggestions for a good preamp for the CT-M600s (powering the 802 diamonds)?

Thanks,

Slim
