Late night and Beethoven's 6th? Glass of red wine.
Early morning and Bill Monroe? Coffee.
Late afternoon and Pink Floydd? Tea.
A bit later than that, and Springstein? Beer.
It has a name, but for the sake of legality, let's call it Green tea!

...I like a Sol mexican beer, twist of lemon, Twang beer salt on the rim and some choice 'herbal' supplements when the opportunity arises :)
Mainly it's the time of day. For reasons both traditional and personal, I rarely drink anything alcoholic before 5PM. But if it's a night time listening session, alone or with friends: wine, single-malt scotch, maybe something mixed with vodka. During th day it'll be coffee or nothing. Depending on the genre I often like to read while listening, though favorite songs or sections get full attention.
a great beer can go a long way. when you're listening and enjoying, you can enjoy it slowly and really let that buzz steep. i also really like wearing sweatpants when seriously digging some music -- comfort is key.
Comfort is a good addition for sure. A good listening perch, comfortable clothes, dim the lights, nothing too distracting. But then there are times when I get home and the house is quiet and I just plop down and put something on. I guess it depends on how badly I need it!
