I have looked at these with curiosity a few times myself but never purchased one as of yet.
I would say if you have one to play with place it on the computer case directly above the Power Supply location. If for some reason the power supply is on the bottom of the cabinet then try affixing it to the side of the cabinet right were the AC plug is inserted.
I think an interesting experiment would be to place in ontop of or under your wireless router if you have one and see what happens to the signal strength meter from a laptop or something else then can receive the signal being transmitted.
It's an iMax so I am leaning it against the back side of the thing...Not enough listening so far to figure if I can hear an effect...
Before giving up, since the stones are directional, try rotating them 90 degrees at a time.
