At the time of writing this review (September 12, 2010), I had yet to get my hands on one of the new HRTs. Given that there are so many products for which it is incorrectly claimed that they operate USB in asynchronous mode, I felt it best to be cautious. We have a review of the HRT Streamer Pro in our February issue and can confirm that it does operate in asynchronous mode.
