Any McIntosh - Tube or Solid State has the beauty contest all wrapped up.

Though I just love those Cary or BAT amps with the exposed tubes, my vote for the most attractive component has to go to the B&W Signature 30s, with the Sonus Faber Amati Homage a close second. Gotta luv those sweeeeeet wood finishes!

Linn Klymax amp It is sleek and the small foot print amp packs an incredible punch at 500watts

Even though it is not the best-sounding, I guess my vote is for the Bang & Olufsen Beocenter 9000. It is definitely different from the ordinary CD player.

Anything by Martin-Logan.

Martin-Logan ReQuests are just too cool for words!

There are many visually impressive offerings these days—hope others follow the trend, because I want my stuff to not only sound great, but look great too in my decor. Keep up the cool, modern industrial designs such as: Bow Wazoo, Rowland Concentra, Pass X-series, Martin-Logan speakers, Linn Sondek CD player, Boulder 2050 monoblocks, Apogee all-ribbon speakers (sadly out of production), Avalon speakers, Revel speakers, and Krell & Levinson gear.

I really like the design and styling of the Mark Levinson 33 Amps. They are tall and slender (something other amps and myself can't compare to). I had the chance to audition these amps with the Revel Salon speakers (black with aluminum side panels). After seeing and hearing these beauties, I wish I had the $45,000 to pony up.

Jeff Rowland Coherence II preamplifier. The beautifully machined aluminum faceplate has got to be a classic fit'n'finish. It's elegant, yet simple and clean. Same goes for Synergy and their amps (Models 2, 6, 8, 9).

Although I no longer own their equipment other than a tuner, I never enjoyed watching any gear more than McIntosh's Power meters.

Why yes, of course, looks are important. Would you rather be chatting up Nicole Kidman or Kathy Bates on Saturday night? My vote for the sexiest component goes to Aragon for their Aurum preamp. I love the Aurum's horizontal "V" front panel and ooooh, those big knobs.

Can't decide, here are a few examples: McIntosh MR-67 tuner (circa 1965), AR receiver (circa 1970), AR turntable (circa 1963), Ampex AG-500 tape recorder (circa 1967), Crown 800 recorder (circa 1968).

my chosen style is hard contemporary industrial with a tinge of gothic or art deco so almost all audio components fit well into my room the ones i like usually sound good. examples: wadia, martinlogan, pass labs, ayre, classe, theta, krell, bryston, wilson, you get the idea. all things aside this should be fun...? yyeesss...fun. pick what u like and go.

Please, can we get back to how equipment sounds instead?

While I've seen lots of interesting-looking products (Gallo speakers, Moth Audio amps), I think Martin-Logans are the most visually stunning speakers (and they sound great to boot).

Jadis JD1 Transport Drive is undoubtedly the first transport to truly exhibit design considerations. It was conceived by Jean-Paul Caffi and remains to this day a unique product.
