No one else can keep up with me!

In my small two-person family, I buy the music. However my son, only being three, has still developed a good taste in music on his own. He introduced me to Flat Eric by Mr. Oizo.

I buy the most, but my kids are five & two. I'm sure they will overtake me in a decade or two.

Moved in with my girlfriend two months ago, and we now share my budget minded setup consisting of a Rega Brio 3, Rega P1, and PSB Alpha Bs. Little did I know she would be bitten by the wax bug. She's snagged Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream, Al Green's Greatest Hits, and Van Morrisons' Astral Weeks over the past month, but she has some major work to do if she wants to surpass me as the home's alpha music buyer.

I am my household, at least for the moment.

What my wife and kids have bought in their entire lifetimes does not equal what I've bought this year. A quick calculation shows that I have bought, on average, about 100 titles per year over the past 36 years.

There are five LP shops within a 50 mile radius of my home. I buy them like they are going out of style.

I am the only one in this house with an international credit card and I love going online and purchasing CDs, gramophone records, and DVDs.

This year: 647 LPs. (My wife says that I am a fool.)

I also approve (or disapprove) of all audio playback devices submitted for entry!

Being a DJ for several years has turned me into a music junkie!

My dog Lilly just won't stop ordering off Amazon while I'm away at work. I keep changing the passwords, yet the CDs keep coming.

I have four kids and a wife and I buy many times more music then they do. And with a bigger net, I buy many more musical styles as well.

My wife thinks we have too many CDs. She thinks we should apply the same policy to music that we do to clothes and other possessions: For every new item that comes in, another must go out. She doesn't quite get that music is also good on the second and third listen. I guess sometimes it's not even good the first time, though.

I do. But it's not much. About 10 discs a year, now. I just love my collection too much to let the new stuff in.

I'm tired of the recorded-music–buying paradigm. On average, I spend between $1000 and $2000 a year for records. I would prefer to have access to a huge on-line hi-rez music library and pay by subscription or per track. It will probably cost me less—and good riddance of all that plastic and these hard drives.

I carry no cash—I'm married.

I buy about three-to-four CDs per month and another one-to-two records.

My wife never buys music. I buy about four-to-eight albums a month.

Despite my sister and brother consuming more music than I do via Internet radio, I spend way more money on music in the long run. Worth every cent, though.

SACD, DVD-A, Blu-ray concerts....

Quality beats quantity. I just wish I could remember that mantra and stop buying so much "junk" music that ends up being listened to once or twice, then put on a shelf never to be heard again.

Living alone, it's me! I get to pick what is played and what it is played on. I choose the volume and who gets to sit in the sweet spot. Yep, I also get to pay all the bills, too! That part, I must say (to be careful here) creates a large vacuum.

I am the music lover, while my wife is the book lover.

I do buy many titles (physical formats, standard and high-resolution) and like to have them available on my listening room. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in the family.
