I have been a audiophile since I was about 15. But I'm no analog junkie, I say digital all the way.

I'm 33 and have been reading the magazine for 8 or 9 years (though there was a bit of a hiatus when I was in grad school and didn't want to tempt myself to spend money I didn't have).

I have been listening to high end since the 1950s when McIntosh first set the bar and the sound of music. Some things have come and gone, but some things remain the same.

I'm old enough to remember riding in my uncle's car as a kid and seeing him trying to play an album on a machine he hooked up to his dashboard. He actually got it to work. You can imagine what condition the records were in after he used them like this. Obviously it didn't work out for very long. But he was saved. 8-track tapes were introduced a short time later.

Just lookin' to get back into stereo sound. Starting to buy all of my older music on vinyl.

I'm 23. I started reading Stereophile when I was 16.

And a hobby started at 14 is still giving lots of pleasure. I met a 91-year-old recently who had a wonderful system (vinyl based!) and knew exactly what he was listening to.

Let me give you a more accurate stat. Where I live, the average age of your readers is 44. I'm 41, the other guy that reads you is 47. Simple as that.
