Pepper. First listen wasted me, nothing like it before or since.

Tasty by Good Rats. It features an animated big fat rat sitting in a pile of garbage.

The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan LP, and, just behind it, Bringing It All back Home and Highway 61 Revisited.

This should have been on the list instead of Led Zeppli,: Molly Hatchet: Flirtin with Disaster.

Album cover? What does it sound like? I think it is what the Beatles White Album cover was intended to be. Before the censors got control.

The Beatles: The Beatles—what audacity!

Hipgnosis did a lot of cover art in the '70s and '80. They were often weird juxtapostions of ideas put into images, such as an inflated pig suspended between the smokestacks of a power station for Pink Floyd's Animals. They did Led Zepplin's Houses of the Holy and Peter Gabriel 3 (melting face). I like most of the work was done by Hipgnosis and you can see a sample at: http://www.sound.jp/hipgnosis/yapwall/yhip.html But my top vote would have to be the Scorpions' Lovedrive. It features a couple seated in the back seat of a sedan. The "clean cut" man, dressed in a suit, is looking down at what appears to be chewing/bubble gum strung from his hand to the woman's breast while she looks impassively straight ahead.

Tons of great album covers out there. John Zorn's Torture Garden is the best I have in my collection.

I think the greatest album cover is The Beatles' Revolver.

Jimi Hendrix: Axis, Bold As Love. Not only was the album a testament that Jimi could sing, the cover could keep one busy for hours finding all the fine detail it contained!

Look no further than the Black Crow's Amorica. The reason is self-explanatory.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band set the standard for modern album art. It will always be my favorite cover.

Although I don't have a "favorite" cover, I would like to point out that my Hamster Dance CD cover has one of those pictures that change depending on the angle at you hold it.

Midnight Oil's Red Sails In The Sunset. No band members or a title on the front, just a colorful shot of Sydney after an asteroid hit.
