Where would you like to see the next Stereophile HI-FI Show?
Might I suggest Denver for your next HiFi Show. Easily accessible from both coasts. Denver International Airport (DIA) is second largest hub for United Airlines. Revitalized Lower Downtown (LODO) area with great restaurants and clubs. Coors Field. Lots of Hotel rooms with reasonable rates. About the same demographics as Seattle. At the foot of the Rocky Mountains. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for your consideration. Sincerely, Rick Carlson emily@vail.net
How about Boston , Mass. This is a beautifull city with lots of HiFi Stores and it is the House of the Boston Pops . Another convinience is the proximity to NH , NY ,Conn. and other cities who has many audiophiles . And even more , I can make a trip from my hometown ( Puerto Rico ) with the excuse to visit my parents at Pawtuckect , RI . Think about it , a weekend at audio nirvana with spare time to see New Port , RI ,do some magic tricks to your equipment at Salem and eat some lobsters at Maine . JUST PERFECT. See you there.
anywhere but LA! The traffic is unacceptable. Chicago was interesting, and you seem to have shortchanged the entire middle of the country until last year. It would be interesting to see St. Louis or New Orleans. As far as easy access and good transportation, you have never beat San Francisco. Art (Southern California)
Everyone loves to visit San Francisco, that's why I live here. But please learn from your mistake several years ago of using an older hotel like the St. Francis. The elevators, rooms, and corridors are just not spacious enough for the crowds. I'd recommend holding the show at a newer suburbian hotel such as the Embassy Suites in San Rafael or Burlingame. They're still close to the city and less hassle for regional attendees to park cars. An all suites hotel will give your smaller companies a front display room and then a back room to store non-display items or just get a break from the crowds.
