I don't normally read the Industry Updates section but something about Mr. Fremer traveling to Venice (pg.s 13-15) just caught my eye so I read on. I have say, not only was it a fun travelogue piece, it was really funny. Of note was his droll descriptions of the deep end that so much modern art has gone off. In particular the 15 foot Teddy bear humping an equally over-sized rabbit and it's relation to artists and wealthy patrons. My feelings exactly- and I went to art school! Would it be so bad to make some art that is compelling, and maybe even of beauty, that didn't require a doctoral degree to sort through? Anyway...

Even just reading about the setting and presentation of the limited edition Sonus Faber Fenice speakers made ME want to lean in to the dazzling event and take it in. Had to have been one of the best "business" trips ever!

Interesting.

I thought a "limited edition" speaker with that price point was a perfect match for the surrounding story!

The bear/rabbit things was interesting. At first I thought maybe it was a play on the old joke about the bear asking if the rabbit ever had trouble with shit sticking to its fur...but then the artist 'turned it around!'

Coming from a hobby with speakers that can cost more than a Ferrari, maybe the people at the Bear-Fucking-Bunny Art Forums laugh at us about how unaccessable our stuff is.

I can just imagine Jeff Koons sitting at the "Oversized Stuffed Animal Sex Position" opening and chatting over a pinot grigio, saying, "Dudes, did you get a load of those crazy Sonus Faber speakers? Obviously over-priced performance art, if you ask me."

All in all MF did a great piece, no matter what the interpretation.

First, I love that art, and the piece in the background!

To answer your question, yes...only without the teeth and with a flatter head.
