jim: i got a closer look later in the show and it is either an actual old model or one that looks retro. a typical square plinth ala rega. it sits on top of an older receiver. they showed him playing some old billy holiday records. whatever it is, its cool that it is an integral part of the show, in fact shatner made a joke about it being a precision instrument, instead of just a prop as it mostly is in house. i have seen house actually use his once or twice during the series.

I saw the show. The TT appeared to me to be some kind of changer. I'll have to pay more attention the next time I watch. I expect there will be more references to TT's and LP's. They seem to be important to Shatner's character.
