If you want "eye candy", it is a cool brick indeed.
I like the SOUND of my Audio Research LS-26 at least as well, however, and $6000 is a little more reasonable than $18,000.

definitely. Best thing is, in about 3 years the price will be drastically reduced on the used market and you can probably pick up the pair at around $9,000 or so. That what I have to do sometimes.

I've owned the KXR for about 3 months now , can't say enough good things about it . It replaced my A.R.C. Ref 3 , With solid state like this , who needs tubes .
