Not much of a test if you ask me. First of all there's hardly any LF, secondly very few people have actually witnessed a lift-off, so how to compare with reality?

if there is no LF, your subs suck. Plenty of LF in there..

ou will see that to do justice to the experience, you will need a low-distortion subwoofer system capable of producing up to ~119 dB SPL on peaks at 25 Hz and ~116 dB SPL at 16 Hz and below! If not, then you will not be able to feel the chest-thumping, clean solid bottom that is produced.

I never played the track on my stereo, only from the link on my headphones. It sounded very limited.

My sub plays from 23 - 60 Hz, according to the settings. It doesn't suck at all, but doesn't blow the dust off my jeans. If you think that's what a sub needs to do, we disagree.

Unreal!

Incredible sound. Being present within the three mile radius must turn one into pudding.

Dude, if you can't hear the LF on your subs...then your subs aren't that great...because it *IS* there, in spades!

Yes, huge amounts of LF energy.

My sub goes to 8Hz per specs. This recording at higher volume is impressive.

(I've put an 8Hz sine wave through the sub. I can't hear it at all, but one can almost count the cone excursions.)
