Northern New Jersey for sure. Especially the areas around exits 16 and 17 of the New Jersey Turnpike.
Hey, I lived in NNJ for 26 years, and didn't live where it smelled at all.
Morristown, Sucasunna, Long Hill Township, Warren Township (except for the superfund site), Summit, Murray Hill, Greenwood Lake.
No, no industrial smell, unless you put your mouth over your tailpipe.
There is North Jersey, Central Jersey, and South Jersey, and then there is the beautiful intersection of Passaic, Bergen, Essex, and Hudson Counties.
And, yeah, parts of those counties stink. And, yeah, I love them anyway.
You left out Rahway and Union Co.
I don't count those.
Byway? Phew!
