Hi All, I have received, assembled and installed my new Furutech Power cables I am using the existing old double wall outlet while I wait for a new unswitched outlet to arrive from New Zealand (none available in OZ)
Sat down to listen, wondering if I'd blown my cash on a tweak that would do nothing or be such a small improvement that would be hard to detect.......
But no.. instantly (within a few bars of 1st song) noticed an overall increase in dynamics, an increase in volume at same setting - but most noticeable was the change to the soundstage- it seemed to be narrower but more focussed -eg: one of my test tracks is Stairway to Heaven by Rodrigo & Gabriela -previously (with standard power cords) Rodrigo emerged directly from right speaker, Gabriela from the left - now- Rodrigo appears just slightly right of centre, Gabriela left of centre - sounded strange at first , but after a few tracks,I realised it was a more realistic stage width (speakers app. 9 Ft. apart)
anyhoo - am pleased as punch - expensive yes, but an improvement - with more to come?
