I thought I'd heard every possible answer to record cleaning, but this approach is new to me, and the next time I'm in Walgreens I'll get some of your recommended goo and give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

It sounds crazy and probably is if you have a good cleaning machine but for those of us with none...well, I've used it on 2 LP's in the last hour, one was unlistenable despite my best efforts with $50 cleaning fluid and brushes but this thing removed the noise and, oddly, a bad skip, so it plays through end to end without any hickup as well as any new record does on my modest setup.

I wonder what this would do to someone with a good system who might be able to tell if any damage occurs...all I can say is that on my system, it has worked miracles with really dirty records.
