Sorry Dude- I love my "keeper" books" but at my age (now 42) I'd have to have twice the house (and it's a decent size) to keep ALL the books AND records I've been buying since my 20's! Somehting had to givem, even with several book sell-offs over the years. I LOVE my ereader Nook and I see no reason to keep each and every book, plus newspapers (that get tosssed each day), physical. I read 10x more than I used to and the environmental impact is tiny. Think about- how many books actually get re-read? And all those periodicals?!

Yeah how do you otherwise manage to keep room for the Buffy and Angel series you own, come on admit it!!

Although more seriously, if you have not seen it take a peek at The Tudors.
I have to say its done rather well and is the only series our household can sit and watch many at one time.

However where Deadwood had the swear count, I swear this has the boob/nookie count but its still good (even the nookie scenes, if nothing else I doubt the actor playing Henry VIII ever gets embarrased these days lol).

And I must say I am a keeper of books myself, I just cannot bring myself to give them away or use digital books.
Something about books one can connect with emotionally thats missing from e-book or whatever digital format.

I live with 'analog and clutter,' and it's a distinctly mixed blessing.

Stuff is wonderful - I have a few thousand cds and records and dvds and books. But it all has to be cared for, thought about, paid attention to, and that's time and energy in which people don't get the same treatment.

It's a burden. I'm cleaning out my mom's house right now in preparation for a sale and I threw away a dozen or so purses Sunday. She *loved* purses, yet has no memory of them today.

OTOH, digital is no answer. It may take up less space, but requires migration from drive to drive, and - maybe - format to format. If you're going to take the digital plunge full, you'll record your cds as .wavs or .aiffs, raid them at your home and do at least one back up off site.

(FLAC? It's what I'd do, but I hope that down the road JA doesn't discover some subtle, heretofore unrecognized issue that destroys their audiophile standing.)

And...increasingly I agree with Orb. I was an early Kindle adaptor, but I find myself less engaged with the books and magazines I get there.

Natalie Dormer is great as well playing Anne Boleyn, I swear those two are going for an Oscar as "Best Dramatic Passionate Scene", if only it existed ah well

Anyway well worth watching, I was a cynic regarding the series until I finally got round to watching it.
