Kind of a guilty sonic pleasure.

We actually set that up - twice. It's alot of work!

Once was outdoors on a lake and it was pretty impressive!

I'm waiting for the right evening to fire up Yoshimi in 5.1 DVD-A. I saw them on Austin City Limits play with Beck. They were a great analog to Beck's studio strangeness.

In May the Flaming Lips will release their version of DSOM. You can stream it online now.

I think it may go well with Dub Side of the Moon.

Also, I just got hold of the new Grace Jones. Haven't played it through yet, but it reminded me...Grace Jones' Nightclubbing is one of the greatest sonic diso/dance/pseudoreggae/Sly&Robbie disc of all time.

9.85 out of 10.

Bad day at the office, which I'm combating with a not-so-guilty pleasure from the 90s, 'The Carl Stallings Project.'

Selected Stereolab on a good system (loud). Always a strange pleasure for me. Maybe it's the girls singing in French (and I can't understand a word). Maybe it's the hypnotic music. Maybe it's the intrigue of being in a foreign place. Not every day music, but when the urge hits, I'm there! My wife doesn't like it at all.

I love Stereolab, DSOTM, and The Lips as well. Nice to be in such educated and refined company. 8)

May I recommend the band Ivy to those of us who enjoy Stereolab? Another French singer, trancey music, and bass from the Fountains of Wayne.

Highly Recommended.

Thanks, I'll check out Ivy.
I've seen Stereolab live twice in the last 6 years and their shows are very good. Hypnotic stuff. Lots of people on the dance floor. Check out Fab Four Suture
