What mistakes? Just like a televangelist, he has managed to turn his pop religion into a money making golden goose..He is now worth over half a billion! Don't blame Gore, he simply saw an opportunity and took advantage. No, blame the folk who bought into the scheme, his parishioners. Just like the chumps who watch and send money to the evangelist on TV, Global Warming cultists are to blame.

Do you dipshits need a whole new thread for every global warming thought you have?

Look down seven or eight threads.

Hard to blame ya, though, I'm sure you'll suck J_J into the fray.

Yeah, it's their version of "don't hide your light under a bushel".

They want you to forget the artic ice cap, greenland glacier movement, and the differential between surface and upper atmosphere. You know, "repetition is the linchpin of propaganda".

Actually, you did, for better or worse.

So much climate change denial pseudo-science is funded by the hand of the Heritage Foundation that it is beyond a joke.
These are of course the same people who spent several decades being paid directly by the tobacco industry to deny smoking had any connection to cancer.
Now they are funded by corporations such as ExxonMobile to deny climate change.
Given that the people at the core (I can't bring myself to say "heart") of this shadowy string puller are christian fundamentalist corporatists, it seems that a certain political interest, that of the far right Palin-tologists is getting a free ride (the only type they like) into some sense of battle for power in (initially) America.

Ahhh, that feels like getting the muscles a little loosened up for this place!

I'm really just putting a toe in the warm waters of comment while I wait for the rain to stop and the floor sander to start.

I am stuck into a renovation and the house is basically boxed or stacked up around me and will be for the next 6 weeks.
That means I will be more sniping than blitzkrieging my way through the right wing rabble without a pause of the forum for a while.

the sort of person who can argue a right winger extremist back into a corner and keep them there until their head explodes then you might well be right.

If on the other hand you indicated that you had some knowledge of medical diagnoses then you might well be wrong.

The paranoia almost always appears on the other side.

Well, the lady does have a couple of outstanding points, but as for you? Let's be honest, it takes a left and a right to help us find a reasonable middle. The phony paradigm that most of us live by is dishonest and detrimental to our country. We don't have to be anything but knowledgable about who we elect or keep in office and whether or not they follow through on their "issues dujour", according to each of our own personal viewpoints. They must be held accountable for their actions, especially when they effect the overall well being and or survival of the country. Being liberal or conservative does not give one the right to ignore it's people, tar over the constitution or run us into economic oblivion. Laws don't have to cost alot of money and they most certainly do not need to be 2700 pages long. Politics have become about power, control and personal gain at the expense of the country and it's people. This current breed of progressives from both sides, are trying to reshape this country into a docile, socialistic, economicaly dependant citizenry that would do the bidding of the intellectual and economic elite. Robbing wealth, generating immense debt and legislating away our rights and freedoms (along with our creativity), only gaurantees our demise as the last best hope for our planet and it's inhabitants. Many people are beginning to wake up and see the hypocrisy and it's resultant cost...I just pray they stay awake this time!

THe idea that America needs a middle ground half way between the "right" and "left" is a smokescreen used by (mostly) those of the right.
The very thought that there is a powerful "left" wing to US politics is simply a joke to anyone from outside the confines of Winger County.
If having a functional healthcare service which operates fro and in the interests of the population is "socialism" , as you put it (and I am guessing healthcare is what you were referring to), then I think you are indulging in a smattering of propaganda or have been reading too many of those emails that certain right wingers get sent weakly(!).
Let's take a more reasonable view of "left" and "right".
Now out on the right we have people who believe that the "market" will take care of everything <military excepted of course ;-)> and on the hard left we have those who believe a centralised economy will work in the general interest.
Thus in the middle we have the centrists preferring a mixed economy where different approaches can be employed to produced the best results and the greatest efficiency.
Your so called left wing is nothing other than the centre name-called by the new far right manoeuvring for an attempt on a palace coup for the Republican Party.

I was actually trying to offer a bit of a litmus test...and the results are..(drumroll)...your quite demented. Perhaps intolerant, rigid, self important, ignorant (of history and reality), delusional and dangerous are better adjectives for your type. Honest discussions require truth, self evaluation and the ability to learn from others...you obviously have no such capacities.

By the way, when I referenced the "middle", it pertained to the manner in which most Americans tend to vote and not as a political construct. As for a health care bill that is 2700 pages long, designed by special interests and completely unaffordable...well, I believe the track record of entitlement programs speak for themselves. Also noticed your bio, which explains alot. The cavalier self assured attitude, a willingness to accept governmental control and a complete ignorance for American history. Then again, growing up socialist does have some effect on you I guess. Let me use my ESP...unmarried, no children?

It certainly sounds from your calmly composed and totally logical description of my post that you have nothing to say apart from the fact you like corporations to make huge profits from US healthcare (which is the most expensive in the world) and you don't care about the tens of millions who can't afford it.
That's OK, not caring about "society" has been a highlight of hard right policy since the days of Thatcher and Reagan.
One day you might like to confront your loyalty to such gross financial inefficiency as the current system illustrates, but I doubt it will be within the lifetime of any member of this forum.
