Quote: Hi all, was wondering if anyone has heard the new version five of Paradigm's Studio 100 speaker.
Not yet. :-(
Quote: Is Stereophile going to review these speakers?
Kal Rubinson just reviewed the v.5 version of the Studio 60 -- see http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/paradigm_reference_studio_60_v5_loudspeaker/ -- and you should be able to get an idea of the improvements made to the '100 from his review of the '60.
Thanks John for the link to the review. I'll also dig out that magazine. I would imagine that the 100 has the same general characteristics as the 60 but would provide deeper bass response.
There isn't one. It's one of my usual non-sequiters. What I'm saying is:
A friend of mine, named Najeeb, designed your speaker, IIRC. Your post reminded me.
He worked for Paradigm. He stopped working for them after 9.5 years of design work. He's now on to something else, but still likes to design speakers. Now, when someone signs a contract for employment in many sorts of technical work areas, there can be and usually is a 'non competition' clause in the contract. That time period where you cannot work in the field after your ending of association, can be a period of about 5 years. So it's been nearly 5 years, or now over 5 years, so Najeeb can now design and sell/etc speakers without violating his prior agreements, if that sort of clause was in the agreement. If he decides he wants to, that is.

I'm wondering what influence from me bud Najeeb will be left in it. He did the originals and such.
Najeeb's non-competition clause is running out soon.....
(I'm guessing it's there, it's standard practice in all industries, and I know that Najeeb does like making speakers. So we shall see, won't we?)
Huh?? I don't get the connection to my original post.

Well KBK he designed a great speaker. I'm not so sure I want to replace them. They're still sounding great!
