Bah! Humbug!..........................Oh wait, that's for Xmas..........never mind
Have a safe one!
happy dead bird to you guys too.
The bird is not only dead, but is about to be surrounded by 225 degree hicory and cherrywood smoke.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. May the carving of the turkey feature jet-black inter-transient silence, the consumption of the pumpkin pie a deep, slowly widening soundstage, and the beverage of your choice an appropriately liquid midrange.

Very nice!
I broke with tradition and smoked two chickens instead of a turkey on our Thanksgiving. I used cherry and hickory as well - nice combination for poultry!
I tried serving the alternative, but nobody wanted to do the carving!
My favorite holiday. A day of cooking and family...and a little Cowboys football!
Best wishes to all, and to all a good bite!
I don't eat meat. tofurkey and meat-less stuffing here.
Same back at you, and to all the rest of motley crew around here: Safe and Happy holidays, and here's hoping everyone spends at least a few genuine moments reflecting how uncommonly lucky we all are.
Best...
D,
We are truly blessed to live in such a great country. And, this allows us to worry about "reflected sound", jitter, and other truly meaningless things we take for granted.
Have a great one. I may not eat another thing all day. O.K., that IS a lie. In keeping with our hobby, maybe I'll do it double-blinded?
Good to see you, Jim!
I think I shall spend the day digesting, as well.
I felt guilty as I just ate some yesterday's left overs and they were almost as good as I remember them. We are so blessed. Hope you have done the same.
Another forum had an announcement that Technics may be getting out of the 1200 turntable business as of Feb. '10. It seems odd with the vinyl resurgence, but since they had no presence for audiophiles I guess it makes sense. Too much compeition from Stantan, Vestax and others I guess. I still thought that for the money that table in its current versions was a decent buy. Could it not be at least almost as good as a P2?
Ortofon keeps the flow of new cart offering at an amazing pace. It must be that the $300 turntable market must be hurting them. Or, Technics needs a new marketing manager. It is amazing how the audio market keeps shaking itself out. Krell's announcement and then the new Music Direct catalog shows new products. Go figure.
Hope all had a great thanksgiving. As mentioned earlier, we do have so much to be thankful for.
Cheers.
