What I loved most: The sound of 100,000 people stunned into silence.

That's exactly how I felt after I gave a toast at a friend's birthday shindig!

I'm not too broken up by it, I root for the NFC East, in general.

Great game.

Did make for a very entertaining Sunday evening.

It's pretty amazing how Eli can look totally uncomfortable for almost the entire game, but then come out and punch holes in a defense when it matters most.

Romo was planning to be a leader this season. I saw that when he sat on the bench and starting crying. I also don't appreciate what that one Cowboy, Danzel Washington?, did to my man Tuck with tripping him and putting him out of business for a while.

BTW, Mrs Sanford is a Cowboy fan. I prefer a nondivisional level team like the Oakland Raiders that still play on a baseball field.

Nope. The culprit was Flozell Adams.

In New Mexico, Danzel and Flozell are synonyms!

I was close. The first names rhyme and the last names were past presidents.

In NY, they would be room-mates.

Stephen, what I loved most was the Emperor Jones magnanimously gesturing to his adoring sheeple below -- that is, those who were allowed to enter the arena (the "record" attendance number was at least, er, somewhat diluted by the fact that many of said sheeple were actually watching the affair on gigantic TV screens, outside the stadium, and even outside town -- hell, outside the freakin' STATE o' Texas... ).

And, after much hopping around, 'mid cheers and arm-waving, the Emperor had to watch the Giants stomp his Cowboys. Delicious.

Can you imagine going to a live event, and spending more time with some electronic representation of it than the real thing being produced??

The next time I head for Disney Music Hall or Segerstrom Center, I think I'll bring a mini-DVD player, complete with ear-plugs, and a pre-recorded disc version of the event. Then I won't have to be distracted by the live event.

Of course, I must mention the pole-dancing Cowboyettes, who (not to be content with mere poles) were circling the giant buttressess (what? 20 feet in diameter -- now THAT, ladies and gentlemen, takes Priapic ritual to new... heights?? widths?? diameters?? Words fail me...). Gawd. What a spectacle.

And the Cowboys barfed it up. I suspect few noticed, what with the trappings of the occasion...

Being old, I miss simpler times. But I do NOT miss ancient technologies for reproducing the live concert experience in the home. New is definitely better, in that respect. What a time to be alive.
