Yeah, I was going to ask if you were still available, but I see you are. Good.
The guy is, err, a touch creepy, eh?
I must be pronouncing this guy's name incorrectly...it sounds very Irish, to me.
That being said, I don't understand why, if a person so dislikes the laws/politics/etc. of the country in which they live why don't they just pack their belongings and move elsewhere? The right to live where one desires is fine but...
Your stereotype module is a bit broken, JJ. You oughtta recalibrate. i'd be more of a Aryan Nation, Stormfront type candidate..not part of an islamic sect.
I read the article, but couldn't find where it mentioned the guy is a muslim, or white for that matter. Perhaps there are other sources where his race and religion are mentioned?
I have trouble distinguishing between bigots. Not to say you, although I do wonder sometimes, but rather between Stormfronters who want to destroy the world in their image and Muslim Nutters who want to destroy the world in their image.
Not much distance in my book.
You can do like I do and just hate one group more than the other. You're more likely to get mugged by a skinhead than get you head sawed off by some radical Muslim. Different strokes for different folks. The Muslims are on my radar. Skinheads don't murder over three thousand people in the course of breakfast and lunch. So, I hate that group more than skinheads right now. I guess that makes me a hater. I'm a hater.
Nope. If the media doesn't state his color or religion than he is white and Muslim.
How am I supposed to make decisions about these important topics if I don't know all the rules, damn it?!
Muslin?
Read Catch-22. Then apply the concept in your everyday life. Works for me. Think circular logic. KBK is fantastic at this. One of the best. But watch out for the Catch-22 police.
Most groups suffer from "groupthink." Here at The Open Bar I like to think that we excel at "doublethink". Oddball was a great doublethinker.
er..did you read the article?? Daniel Patrick Boyd, the ringleader is the white guy with the mustache.
jihad is strictly an Islamic term..straight out of the Qur'an...my copy says, "The best jihad [struggle] is (by) the one who strives against his own self for Allah, The Mighty and Majestic," Hadith 1(sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him
But law enforcement officials say Daniel P. Boyd, a Muslim convert, is "the latest example of a radicalized American who exported jihad."
That guy in the picture isn't white. He's Irish.
Holy towel-head, Batman! The article I see when I click on the link has neither his picture or the quote about him being a muslim convert.
** Twilight Zone music **
Ah, well, that guy doesn't look like he'd know jihad from poultry. Guess you can never tell these days!
All you white folks look alike to me.
LS: You both have the same haircut.
My point, exactly. It's not a racial belief. Research the Black Irish...check Wikipedia (if you can believe what they print).
It doesn't matter what color the Irish might be. They're the Irish for crying out loud. They sit around pubs day and night talking treason.
the mustache is strictly a white invention, natch
...and drinking room temp ale.
Speaking as someone who's 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Scots, and 1/4 Welsh, I have to ask "what's wrong with cellar-temperature ale", now, laddie?
Being of Irish & Scottish decent, myself, I find "cellar-temperature ale" most enjoyable...unless I'm consuming hot shellfish - that's when I want my brew ice cold. BTW, my name is spelt Francis...but thank you for being polite.
