Is "Wii Congress" kinda like CES for politicians who are also Nintendo enthusiasts?

Wii "Representative Democracy" was great. Talk about thrills and spills!

The American version is rated "M for Mature" 'cause of all the sexual hijinks, but otherwise is pretty PG.

Then I got my kids Wii "Constitutional Monarchy" and they loved it. We're getting Wii "Unicameral State Government" for my son's 9th birthday.

OK, I cannot type, BUT, the question remains...the bill is over 1200 pages long, they are still fiddling with it as I type, and they plan to vote on it tomorrow....that means Congress will, once again, not have read the bill, and there is no time for the CBO to have costed it....

More great governance from our inept Congress, this time pandering to a pop religion at our cost.

I don't give them credit for being able to understand it even if they do read it.

It seems the most important entitlement of all is the preservation of the government.

Too bad the T.E.A. Party guys were such dolts, there's alot of room to try and fix this stuff without it being an invisible problem just so long as one's own party is doing it.

The red party threw away its small government, low spending credibility when we needed it most.

The blue party, well, they have succeeded lately by virtue of not being the red party - great.

I like the old idea of forcing members of the government to handle all their tax data and filing.

Oh joy...Waxman just added a 300 page 'amendment' to the bill they are voting on it today...ie; yet another democrat bill that no one will read the bill.

I understand there is a nice provision in the amendment that has states sending a rebate to the states wagon riders (the dem base) for any increased cost due to the bill. The wagon pullers (republicans) get zip aside from a massive tax increase....

Perhaps I can write off my new costs (estimated at about a grand a year in two years) as a religious tithe to the new pop religion of Global Warming....

Well, they voted it in, government support of a pop religion, and they very wisely decided reading the mess was not needed.

Got to love government and the trash that 'serves'...

Even the oilmen voted for it. Its just politics, JIMV. The House is going to pass the problem on to the Senate. Chances are it is doomed in the Senate. Even their ridiculous estimate that it will cost the average household "only" $175 a year will kill it. Rep. Harry Teague voted for it in the House. He is our Rep. in Southeast NM and a huge oilman down here in the Permian Basin. As usual, something doesn't give.

Doomed in the Senate is simply wishful thinking. Are you aware (Congress, who did not read the bill was not) that this stinking pile of dung included provisions that lets federal building standards trump state and local building codes and zoning laws, community association covenants, and energy efficiency laws.

In addition, it has a provision where the nations wagon riders (the democrat base) gets a rebate for increased costs but those who work and pay the bills, don't.

Now add in Spain's experience with the same law, a VAST increase in unemployment over the next few years and we have a real stinker of a government money grab and freedom limiter, all simply to pander to a pop religion and to make a lot of wealthy lefties richer (Pelosi has a big interest in a company that stands to make out big time. Her stock value has more than doubled in the last month as she has pushed this mess forward).

I am retired and my spouse nearly so and I expect the impact to be around a grand in new costs a year. God help 30 year olds who are still working as they will see giant increased costs. I have seen estimates that the new energy efficiency rules for selling a home will drive costs up 20% in the next decade alone. You want to sell your home, you have to get it inspected and then rebuilt to meet the new code.

But, our fine, worthless waste of skin Congress didn't bother to read the thing so why blame them?

Well, this is what we get for voting an African Colonialist into office. He didn't title his autobiography, "Dream's of my Father" for nothing. It isn't like he has lied to The People. He hasn't. Actually, he warned us. Welcome to the Congo.
