Ok, just for the heck of it, 'Crossroads', mistake and all, is now playing my office. Oh, and by the way, I just installed a full set of 5 30-40000Hz nice, flat, WMTMW speakers in my office.

The guy in the next office is practicing drumming on his desk.

Then again, if the guy in the next office was practicing his drumming I might prefer Clapton, but the guy would have to be a really lousy drummer.

Saw Winwood in San Antonio not too long ago. He was opening for Tom Petty. We went to see Winwood. I don't give a rat's ass about Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Steve Winwood is brilliant. Can you imagine the talent he had as a teenager? From Spencer Davis (I'm A Man) to the present. Was blessed to see him with Traffic on the Shootout/Low Spark tour. A transcendant experience. Beyond music and the astroplane.

Mrs. Sanford and I have a lot of respect for this man. Can you imagine being 16 and coming out of that era without a scratch around all those personalities? I mean, the guy still lives in the first house he bought.

I was in London last year and was bored so I went to see Clapped out at the Royal Albert Hall.

Best cure for insominia ever seen, he has to be one of the most talentless over rated players on the planet. Watch him on the new Jeff Beck DVD, its a bit like watching the 85 Bears defense playing and 2008 Detroit players come on for the last quarter !!!

The session lead player brought on to actually play the songs properly because Clapton cant was a million time more talented.

I went to watch because of all the reviews etc he must have some talent, well yet again it was proof that most media opinion is paid for by someone, what a useless putz.

My musician friends were just in awe of what he was doing in the '60's and '70's. Was there anything quite like "John Barleycorn Must Die" at the time? In an interview after his recent PBS show on Austin City Limits he just talked about his family, good fortune and blessings in life to be able to still do what he loves- all humble and gracious. Not an ounce of arrogance or conceit. What a guy.
