Arcam products typically sound vunderful. I owned a AVR300 that did double duty admirably. A little polite in the bass region but from there on up I give it two thumbs up. Preamp section was probably its weak link but the 600 supposedly addressed this. Ought to be a killer all around centerpiece of a two/multi channel system.

Agreed. Arcam receivers sound excellent, very musical. If I were buying a receiver that had to serve as my source of music too it would be an Arcam, hands down.
i don't know about that unit, but i use an A80 biamped with a P80 and it sounds very nice to me. the remote control is very functional with the unit. the only thing that i have wished for would be a touch more bass, but i have to say that such may be a function of the speakers or the room and not the fault of the amps. i have had these for 4 years and had no mechanical faults at all, however, i have been told that the newer ones are made in china now (fwiw), just saying that mine were the english built versions, so there may be no difference at all or there might be. they do have a warranty.
i would only sell mine to move up the food chain.
