I have a very good friend that will be ecstatic. He's just getting into vinyl and high-end and he LOVES Wilco.
What goes around, comes around...
The first 3 Wilco albums were released as both CDs and LPs at the time of their original release. I know this for a fact since I have the original LPs of both A.M. and Summerteeth (Being There I have on CD since, I believe, that the CD release contained a few extra songs). A.M. was released on red vinyl with a clear plastic sleeve and I paid just under $11 for my then new copy. I don't remember what I paid for Summerteeth but it is a double LP set and I'm sure it cost less than $24.49.
I wonder if the first couple of Son Volt albums were ever released on vinyl. I only the CDs of these releases.
Being There does contain my all time favorite Wilco lyric: "The ashtray says you've been up all night".
wrong. that would be "shot in the arm" from "SUMMERTEETH"
Damn, that's what I get from trying to go just by memory. But at least it means that I have the song on vinyl!
