I am sure that you will be satisfied with the sound; I am less sure about the reliability. I know several people who have had to ship them in for repair repeatedly.

For impeccable sound quality and reliability, I recommend the Bryston 3B-SST or 4B-SST. The latest versions of their amplifiers are excellent-sounding (substantially better than the versions they were putting out a few years back, which were good, but not excellent...).

. . .and of course the Byrston's are near bullet proof! That's why they offer a 20 year warranty (ya I meant to type 20 years.) I ran the repair department at a high end store for a number of years and even when they do charge for repairs on the super old stuff (think 30+ years) the repairs are incredibly reasonable. Many under $200. Wonderful company, I can't say enough good about them.
