Thanks for posting that, Jason.

Al was a 100 carat diamond among the gems of Hi Fi.

It seems unbelievable, he was bouncing around T.H.E. so full of energy and happiness and was so forward looking. This pisses me off - just not fair.

I hope his new set of ears in Heaven are coming in handy while he listens to Miles jam with Coltrane.

Crap and CRAP, this is just not right.

Indeed he was. The last time I saw Al, at THE Show the Sunday of CES, we were talking about ideas to attract younger people to RMAF, perhaps with Stephen Mejias doing a seminar for students on how to get great sound for next to no money. As always Al was full of ideas and enthusiasm. He will be missed.

You know what else ticks me off?

We are at the age where this kind of thing happens to our friends.

Al was a good man. We should all make the pilgrimage to this year's RMAF in his honor.

I'm just now finding out about Alan's untimely death. I grew up with Alan in Washington D.C.. He was a year behind me in school, but we were good friends. I remember spending many days with Alan in his parent's apartment listening to the jazz greats of that time. He was into music and sound equipment back then. The last time I saw him was when I visited him in Chicago when I was on a business trip. I feel bad that we didn't keep up with each other.
