Need help, skipping during playback

Get a turntable, they never skip.
Are you running other computer programs when it happens?
Nothing resource intensive. I probably had Word open and a Firefox session open but idle.
What output device are you using in Foobar and what buffer size, (File-Preferences-Playback-Output)?

You're right. I played with the output settings and fixed the problem. I had to set the output buffer to 4,000ms.

I would also advise experimenting with the ASIO output device if you haven't already. That will allow bit-perfect pass-thru which you won't get via Direct Sound.
