I read with interest in the October issue's Indra measurements section by JA: "I used an Earthworks omni microphone and a Metric Halo LN-2 FireWire audio interface, in conjunction with SMUGSoftware's Fuzzmeasure 2.0 running on my Apple laptop."

Having looked into it, it seems you can build a pretty spiffy room measurement system for the cost of some fancy interconnects (Fuzzmeasure $150, microphone preamp $200, measurement mic $50). Has anyone here tried this path? Any resources that explain how to do accurate in-room measurements?

Fuzzmeasure does look nice but it is Mac-only. For alternatives, take a look at RoomEQ Wizard (freeware) or RPlusD (http://www.etfacoustic.com/RPlusDSite/index.html).

Thanks for the info, that RPlusD seems to be exactly what I was looking for, a good low cost room acoustics program. Thanks!
