HI Struts
I use the LYS Gyrascope, and love its simplicity and looks. Stupid expensive now, almost doubled in price since I have bought mine acouple of years ago.
The other I would buy that is affordable in comparison to the LYS is the KAB.
Both can be used while the stylus is in the groove.
Paul
Thanks Paul. Can't seem to find anyone near here that stocks the LYS, I'll see how much it is to order directly from France. I didn't know the KAB could measure under load and ruled it out - I'll give it another look. The best option I've found which is available locally looks like being the Clearaudio which fulfils all my criteria.
The KAB is put on top on of your records, it is a 10" disc so you have the room to check speed while the sylus is in the groove on you records. It has a battery operated strobe light.
I had missed that, thanks. By the way, I posted some photos of the rest of my system over in the Gallery.
