Heh, I'd say that's 100 percent of it.

<sheesh> There's that posterity thing again.

I wish these future generations would just leave me alone.

Spend about 20 years on the subject Buddha, you might get somewhere. Then see how flippant you are.

But, you see, that would require some work. Not slacking.

Basically, you know nothing about the subject. Ridicule comes from ignorance and the asshole in you. See if you can figure how the fuck to shut it off.

It might do you some good.

No, astrologers are completely wrong in quoting Einstein.

Einstein mentioned astrology only once, and then only to to excuse Johannes Kepler for having practiced astrology as a means to earn a living. The last sentences of Einstein's introduction to Baumgardt's book, Johannes Kepler: Life and Letter are:

"The reader should note the remarks on astrology. They show that [for Kepler] the inner enemy, conquered and rendered innocuous, was not yet completely dead."

Describing astrology as "conquered and rendered innocuous" is hardly an endorsement.

I'll preface my remarks, by stating I have nothing against any of you. That would be a waste of energy. Including you, Buddha. My post was a bit of shock therapy. But this here..you see..allows you to skip out of it's intensity. And that is not a good thing, in it's own way. Things that sting..are sometimes good. Makes people think. The human an ego and psyche are slippery and wily bastards. They hide in the dark corners, unrealized, unrecognized by the conscious mind.

As stated, Elk You don't even know what the comment means.

As usual, people who don't understand something--attack it.

And that is what we have here. I'll bow out of this. It reminds me of the situation on the DIY audio forum, right now. In the biggest and longest running thread on the forum, John Curl and a few others, including me..are trying like hell to get some data about audio design, not engineering..into the heads of some of the folks on the forum. We're taking a shit-kicking.. at times. But we keep at it. John tells me not to waste my time with such folks, on some subjects. They just don't get it.

Like here, when one day, Ethan said something of a similar nature..and my reply was surrounding the idea on how I met a gentleman at the local big bookstore. He was reading a book on the physics of the psychology of the stock market and world economic flow. We began speaking. We ended up talking about how there is about 8 or 10 different layers of reality that exist within the differing groups of people..that each given level..rarely passes beyond it's own borders. For the passage to the next level, requires a complete breakdown of the developed psyche and then rebuild along the new paradigm..to get to the edge of the next level. After it is broken once..the passage through the 'layers' is easier..but the minimal is a complete psychotic break..to breach the internal mould.

Ethan stated that he had no clue what the hell I was talking about, I said..'my point exactly'.

People, for the most part, cannot even broach the subject..their subconscious is stronger, smarter and more deft than their intellect and conscious mind. After all, it is the driver of the machine. The result..is an attack. An attack against that which threatens the mind, and the 'life within', in ways the conscious mind does not fully recognize. But the attack is nonetheless there..and it is real. The construct must be maintained..at all costs.

You see it all the time. You see it coming from, within,...surrounding their actions, the lives..of those who are seemingly less developed than you. people with different sets of problems, different sets of issues and conditions.

One almost never sees it coming from themselves. After all, that would threaten the construct.

Part of the design.

Part of the trap.

Watch out for it.

In a nutshell..that is your crime. It is against yourself.

With that comment, I'm outta this thread. I've no need to sit here and be beat by your internal issues, from any of you. In the same way you clear out of a neighborhood filled with poverty, drugs, and crime.. I never know how I'm going to be treated. It's the animal inside, trying to assert itself in those neighborhoods. Same here. Just another layer, is all.

Yes, of course, I agree. And genetics is a huge influence. But not the moon and stars, or where in the world you were born. In other words, astrology is a crock.

Hey, KBK, you replied only with ad hominem insults. You didn't address the objections - such as, "aetheric" fields can't penetrate human tissue but they can pass through space, brick, etc. Your bloviation about levels and layers of your evolved consciousness might get listened to if you actually addressed the complete fallacies of astrology.

No worries, BillB, KBK's numerology predicts that he would respond this way.

I think I angered his inner Thetan. KBK must not be "clear" yet.

KBK, dude, I'll mail you a copy of Dianetics as a peace offering.

One of these days I'm going to read the last 50 pages of Battlefield Earth. The first
900 or so were great, but Hubbard should have just saved the additional typing.

Did I miss anything interesting?

Battlefield Earth is universally regarded as one of the most dreadful movies ever made.

It scores a 3% (!) on Rotten Tomatoes, with 113 out of 116 critics panning it.

"This film maintains a surprising consistency of bad acting and directing almost from the first frame to the last."

"Watching Battlefield Earth is to a movie-watching experience what having a yeast infection is to having sex."

"It's as if Travolta wanted to destroy his career again just to see if he could stage another comeback."

"AAAAAAAAGHHHH! MY EYES! IT BURNS! IT BURNS!"

And these are the professional reviews.

Blasphemer.

I will declare a jihad on you if you persist in depicting in a negative fashion anything connected to the Prophet L Ron Hubbard.

I've been pondering the mysteries of that book for over twenty years while you laze about allowing that part of your brain to be a slacker.

The movie is perfect. It merely requires that you work. Something you monkey brained types can't seem to do.

If you watch that movie during the Chinese year of the Earth Rat while being fondled by a phrenologist, you will reach a higher plan of existence, like me.

Hurry, now, you only have until February.
