If you search the Sony website, you'll find that the SCD-XA9000ES is still current and available for $3000. I've confirmed this with Sony.
Really? I was under the impression that Sony stoped the production of sacd players to promote dvd-audio ! hmmmmmm
Very doubtful, as DVD-A is associated with the HD-DVD system, by most folks, and in general.
The Sony SCD-XA9000ES is still available for sale at $3K on Sony's website....

Anyways,i remember reading somewhere,almost 2 years ago and it was actually asort of complain from a reviewer that Sony
withdraw all the sacd players from their sales cataloque to promote (force) the users to purchase blu-ray.Well,he must have been wrong,whoever it was !
