PS Audio GCC-100 Control Amp

Used Denon AVR-3805 or similiar for HT duties.

Everything plays nice off of one Logitech Harmony remote.

No matter what your budget is, you can get a much better 2 channel system for the money vs. a HT, multi-channel. Ht multi-channel is a farce IMO. Movies sound great on a good 2 channel system.

I agree with Chico, for your stated needs, two-channel is the way to go.

Wait a minute, if you're willing to spend $12800, then Jeff Rowland Design Group's 606 will deliver the resolution that you need, plus surround. You'll need a good processor to go with it, like Primare.
