Tubes on the front (preamp) and solid state on the back (amplification) has always been the most efficient use of either technology's strengths.
There is no immediate reason to think that this will not show itself to be the case here.
I would think it would sound great! There may be an issue with too much gain in the preamp. Talk to Leonard at ARC about this. Then try it and Let us know.
