AlexO, I'm too ignorant to even be able to come up w/ a budget, but I was thinking, maybe, $1000?

Here's my advice:
1. Wow, sweet system and plans!
2. Throw a party and invite us in to listen.

Man, for sure. That's a great idea & it'll be interesting meeting some of you guys. I'll definitely let you know after I get the Leben & all systems are set.

I still need interconnect/cable advices! And although I need to listen & try w/ amps, I'm leaning more toward moving the Leben & the HL5 into the den, which means I need speakers for the Plinius 8150... as I mentioned, I'm thinking of Vandy 2ce, Vienna Beethoven, Acoustic Zen Adagio. Other suggestions?

1. Speaker cables/interconnect recommendations please! I have NO clue on this topic. I want to start w/ affordable but great sounding cables, etc., and upgrade gradually, as I've splurged on equipment.

http://sound.westhost.com/cables-p3.htm#interconnects The Acoustic Research Master Series or something like them are all you should need. Consider an upgrade from these carefully.

I think you will find the Cambridge Audio Azur 840C for about $1395 about everywhere, WildWestElectronics, AudioAdvisor, Spearit Sound, Audio-Direct, deciBel Audio, etc.

1. high-sensitivity speakers for Leben that would complement the small room (I have A LOT of books. Tons. I'm a book reviewer.)

I would love to hear the Zu Druid Mk4 and would likely be a good complement to the Leben. But you may find the Leben drives the Harbeths just fine in your smaller room and then make the Plinius available to some Vandersteen 2Ce Signature IIs or 3A Signatures for your larger room.

2. Bigger speakers for the living room that will match well w/ the Plinius 8150.

Vandersteen 2Ce Signature IIs or 3A Signatures. Or maybe even the Quatro?

Here are some speaker recommendations for the living room:

NHT 2.9

Rega R7

Monitor Audio 8i or 7i

Some of these are over $1k, but I think they're worth considering.

Edit: Forgot to mention cables, look into the older audioquest and MIT cables on audiogon. I like the voicing on those two brands.
