...and I say that even though I started the topic on here re the Holt interview. It made me think, even if I didn't agree with all of it.
A particular standout was Art Dudley's review of the XT-100 amp.
In fact, it's because of Art's writing that I subscribe to Stereophile. I subscribed previously to the late, lamented (though not by HIM, I'm sure!) Listener magazine.
Other standouts were the articles about Tim de Paravicini, the Brilliant Classics CDs, and Bettye LaVette.
I like Art Dudley's writing too. Even though I don't always agree with his conclusions or the equipment he chooses to review, I think he's a really good writer. His articles are a fun read and even though I may not be interested in the equipment per se, it's great to read his take on things and little barbs and interjections he sneaks into his articles.
I must agree, Art Dudley is one of the most amusing folks I have read in the audio ranks. No, I don't always agree with him, but I enjoy his perspective and value his opinions just the same.
