I use some of the three-drawer lowboys from this place:

You can stack them, and when used side by side, you can use a top that makes the whole thing look like one unit.

I found it to be the least obtrusive method of CD storage I could put together.

I've gotta clean house today, if I get the crap off the top, I'll post a pic!

Those things seem very practical, but not very pretty.
