No, we're not there yet, Ned, as far as I know. DVD-A and especially SACD are pretty tightly copy protected.

There was some talk from the Philadelphia Symphony of offering their full-resolution (24/96, I believe) recordings as downloads, although I don't believe that has yet come to pass.

Personal recordings and needle drops are the only methods I'm aware of for getting hi-res material on a music server.

Maybe someone else can shed additional light on the subject.

Thanks, Erik, for your informed reply. It will save me a lot of time looking.
We apparently have the technology. In fact, that Cambridge unit appears ready to go with everything contained in it to plug right into any audio system. All we need are the downloads. What a great alternative vs. buying an expensive high-res player and having to start another collection.

Thanks for this lead. Had no idea this existed. Some nice classical selections but I'm experiencing sticker shock. Is this the future?
