Newbie looking for help with old Marantz

The volume knob crackling can be fixed by cleaning it with moving contact cleaner. Caig Labs makes a good one. Radio Shack carries a product that is fine. There are others as well.
As you will need to take the cover off to get to the volume pot, you should be able to find the burned out bulb(s) as well.
If the unit is important to you, you should have ashop go over it to replace those parts that are bad and to give it a good cleaning. I have no idea if it otherwise has value - others here probably know.
Thanks, I appreciate the help. I'm sure the only value to it is what it means to me personally. I remember the day my mom drove me in to town to buy it after I had worked most of the summer to raise the money.
