Someone was making a model that would allow adjustments on the fly that I was once considering. I want to say they were running around $150 or so and were supposed to be great. I can't remember who it was, but I'd bet that you could google "VTA on the fly" and it would pop up.
Hah! I found it.
This is the one you already know about and it's the same one I was going to get.
Yep, that's the Pete Riggle VTAF. As usual, great claims for its performance. OK, I'll hear what I hear.
But you never tried it, Monty?
No, I went ahead and upgraded my phono stage instead. I decided not to mess with my table. I'm just going to get a better one when I move into a better room.
If you do decide to go for it and it ends up being worthwhile, let me know. I could be persuaded very easily.
I'm so pathetic.
