The Genesis line represents very good design and construction. They do many things very well. The sound is a matter of taste. Most people should find the Genesis line quite interesting.

Try the Cardas website for placement instructions given your room dimensions. As a starting point, if you really need to use the short wall, I would bring them out from the front wall 2 feet (measured from the front of the speaker baffle) and a little over 3 feet from each side wall (measured from the center of the speaker cone).

This should leave them about 7 feet apart and your listening position somewhere around 10 feet from the front wall and 7 feet from the back wall.

Alternatively, you could bring them out farther away from the front wall and a little closer to the side walls. What you are after is a 2 to 1 or greater ratio and avoid an equal distance.

I just did a quick trip to the Cardas site speaker placement and your room figures out like this:

5 foot 9 inches from the front wall and 3 foot 6 inches from the side walls. All dimensions measured from the center of the speaker cone. This will limit the speakers to 6 feet apart and you may want to play with these numbers a bit if you want to spread out the stage.
