I see that the products that you mention are real.
Of all the isolation products out there, how did you narrow it down to these two?
I don't believe in these products for solid state devices.
If it has mechanical motion devices or tubes then maybe.

I would agree with cyclebrain, we need more information. How did you decide on these two? Will they replace something that is currently not providing sufficient isolation? What pieces will the devices be used under? Is the system in a best case set up at the moment or are you trying to mitigate the effects of less than ideal placement? Are you looking only for isolation or are you hoping for one or more of the rather esoteric results such devices can provide, such as better bass response?

I can't offer a comparison, but I have used Aurios and they are superb isolation devices.

I share the intellectual disbelief that such devices can matter under SS devices, but my experience is that good component stands and isolation devices do indeed make a substantial positive difference, even with SS.

Well having limited funds I must choose what to spend it on.
My technical background is what I use since I can't do a real comparision of much of the tweaks available.
I would spend my money on room treatment before iso devices.

I second this.

While it is fun to buy and play with tweaks, get the basics right first. Unfortunately room treatment isn't as amusing to shop for and buy.

Healthy skepticism backed up by rigorous rational thought and training isn't bigotry, just questioning - always a good thing.

I shared Cyclebrain's skepticism until a friend of mine upgraded from a basic Target equipment stand. I tried it in lieu of a heavy MDF walnut-veneered stand I had made. The Target stand made a large improvement. The Polycrystal stand I use now was again a significant upgrade. Isolation devices don't make much difference at this point for me, but they can be fun to play with. While it makes no sense to me, good stands work - even with SS.

I find that the Aurios work great, an excellent isolation device.

I have a PPP and love it - better than my P500 which I also liked a great deal.

The Noise Harvesters actually work, but I think they are a compliment to good power conditioning - not a substitute. They work a lot better than the Quietline noise filters that many like. A magazine tested them (German I beleive) and found that a Noise Harvester does decrease line noise by between 2-3dB. Whether one will hear this in a given system is not something I can predict.
