Under $1000 does not mean the same as 3x$1000. I think this was covered in the 5th grade.

Why limit your hi fi joy with simple 5th grade math. Get a sub that will be with you for years and years, not one you will want to replace in 1 year. 6th grade math, cheaper is not always the least expensive. When you want to replace some poor sub, you wasted the first bunch of money. buy good, buy once for quite some time. I learned that after i graduated 8th grade. They didn't teach economics before then.
