I think the only way he could think of to piss off more people than he does by making liberal rants was to enter the cable fray!

Art's the Ann Coulter of Hi Fi, for sure.

Has he suggested someone should fly a plane into the offices of The Absolute Sound? Did he call HP a f....t? Dudley = Coulter? Not a chance.

Nah, I'm pretty sure AD hasn't completely condemned the cable stuff. I'm just poking fun at him because of his relatively recent love affair with power cords, myrtle blocks and speaker wire.

Dudley has always been the polar opposite of J10 when it comes to this sort of thing and now seems to have his curiosity piqued a bit.

I love AD exactly for his liberal rants and his beret wearing demeanor. I find him quite bright and entertaining. He's the type of guy I can see hanging out with. I don't necessarily share his tastes vis-a-vis system components, but I love reading his columns.

OK, so he's got his good points, but Ann Coulter is a lot better looking.

She is indeed. If I could tape her mouth shut, she'd be perfect!

She's a woman, how could you possibly expect things to be otherwise?

Pics of Coulter with her mouth taped shut?

I can get that, but I wouldn't be able to Photoshop Newt in a leather thong in the background out of the image, so I'll spare you.

Did you know she's really a guy?

Here's a pic of her showing her adam's apple.

Damn, I just realized I must be gay! I don't need this baggage.

Yup, if she's a guy I'm officially coming out of the closet on this day in history. She's (?) a looker!

Since we've now introduced pictures into this thread, in an effort of fair play and full disclosure I am posting some pictures which show all sides of the story.

First we have a recap (because she looks so good) of that icon of modern conservatism, Anne Coulter:

Then we have a photo of one of the icons of modern liberalism, Bella Abzug:

Finally a post of this thread's original topic:

My vote goes to Coulter but only if heavy duty duct tape is provided.

Yup, those pics fit a rule of politics:

Liberal chicks can succeed based on performance, intellect, and ability.

Conservative chicks have to get permission to succeed based on looks.

Check it out, in general it holds.

Jazzfan, Coulter looks good?

Maybe if I airbrush your stereo, you'll think it sounds better, too.

Buddha,

The only way that air has any effect on the performance of an audio system is when it is used in some mega-buck cabling. The main reason why more cable manufacturers don't use air is that using air as opposed to some exotic material, such as the aluminum jacket of the JPS Labs' Aluminata cables, means they can't price the cables as astronomically since all us audiophiles know that air is free and they can't put one over on us!!! Every mega-buck cable needs at least one type of exotic material in it's composition otherwise there would be no reason to paid more than the cost of a new car for 10 feet of cable. Again, they can't fool us audiophiles with their high prices unless they can justify the price with something exotic.

Me, I'm holding out for the new Starship line of cables which uses matter/anti-matter in a patented tri-phasic configuration. My house and cars with be for sale shortly after I place my order.

Speaking of Starship products, I was going to try using dilithium crystals to power an amp, but I could only get the dang thing to work in Bipolar mode!

Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

You have to snap your middle fingers and thumbs while bringing one hand smartly down on top of the other making that clicking sound while crowing: whooo whoooo whooooo! just before Moe puts your eye out. Nyuk.

Like I say, perhaps you've seen this before, it's very... dilithium

Do you still need the $1000 power cords if you're using dilithium crystals for power? I wonder if the matter/anti-matter stream generates a lot of RFI noise.

You betcha!

The holodeck doesn't bloom without Nordost's "vacuum" cabling!
