This looks very familiar.
So I'll answer you here rather than reply to the email you sent me earlier today.
What sort of RTA? Third octave response only? Or a pro type analyzer like the ETF or REW software programs?
> Could this be the best room shape? <
There's no such thing as a best size or shape. But yours is not bad at all, as confirmed by my Mode Calculator program:

No matter what size or shape your room is, it still needs bass traps and first reflection control to realize its full potential.
But you knew I'd say that, right?

Are those things UL listed for flame spread smoke etc? Like pro stuff Sonex and others that are listed. Remember that dissaster in Rhode isalnd by using the wrong material...and yes it MATTERS!
What things? My company's products are all Class A fire rated. BTW, even the expensive foam products are not Class A rated. They still smoke and smolder and emit toxic fumes.

Sonex from illbruck is Class A Class 1 fire rating, probably the best stuff out there is Sonex stuff Illbruck pioneered a lot of the stuff. Way way back. Looks like falling back into the credential thang....I've been thinking of adding some stuff to fine to the enviorment....So far reading about Sonex, they seem to really have it well thought out....
I think you need to bone up on acoustic products, check the ratings ASTM fire ratings etc...some of this stuff doesn't ignite, I have to now start doubting your "comb filtering" issues, since you do not know what the competition is doing in acoustic products, especially fire ratings, ASTM, UL etc...CREDENTIALS matter..I guess ASTM doesn't matter either, like UL or any other testing organization? http://www.soundacoustics.com.au/willtecspecs.pdf

So if a 1/3 octave measurement is not accurate enough, what do you recomend as a good resolution? If one gets too narrow in resolution they will always have a response that is all over the place. Also an RTA will display frequency response but not reverberation times. An impulse measurement program like ETF though more complicated than a RTA program will show other shortcommings of your room.
You really need to examine the response to 1 Hz resolution, at least for bass frequencies.
Agreed, but at least then you're seeing the true response, versus a response that makes you feel good.
Agreed 100 percent.
