There are some such devices out there. They are all junk. If you want any kind of decent product, a computer ( preferably a Mac) is an essential ingredient. Just another case of no free lunch. Sorry.

If, as you say, cost is unimportant but avoidance of technical involvement is, there are businesses (even hobbyists) in many major cities that will do the transfer for a fee.

Listen to Clay as I have heard his transfers and they are quite good. (Clay, I hope the RIAA is not knocking at your door right now. LOL) Sorry.

The easiest way since it will be done in real time anyway (I have not tried playing LPs at 78 and fooling with the sample rate on playback) would be to buy a stand alone cd recorder of your quality choice and add a decent phono preamp between it and your TT. If you didn't mind spending a $1 each on DVDS you could buy the Tascam DVRA 1000 and record them in DSD, but it would only play back on that machine. Or you could look at just doing them in higher bit rate on a DVD recorder.

You have many options, but it will be done in real time...hour by hour.
