Hi all,
I'm currently building/upgrading my Hi-Fi system. My room is a rectangular shaped 15*12 feet (4.5m*3.5m)with the hi-fi and HT systems placed in the middle of the longer side. The distance between the main speakers is 8ft (2.5m) if necessary I listen mostly classical but also rock and jazz.
So, I began building the system from the digital source, which is a lovely Rega Apollo
. Now it is time to upgrade the speaker and amplifier combo. My constraints for the speaker (apart from the price ofcourse) are 8 ohm impadance and bookshelf These are my alternatives for speakers:
Amphion Argon2
, ATC SCM11
, Epos M12.2
Considering the speaker alternatives' low sensitivity (86dB - 87dB) this amplifier guy must be powerful.
PrimaLuna ProLogue One
, Audio Analogue Puccini
, Rega Mira3
, Creek Destiny
, Creek 5350SE
and maybe a Naim Nait 5i
. Saying maybe because haven't asked the local price and availability. Besides I haven't listened it.
I made some basic listening test with most of them and considering Mira and Destiny primarily. Being more powerful, Destiny is my current favourite.
Need your opinions and suggestions. What would the optimum spaeker-amplifier combo? I'm wrong somewhere in the upper thoughts?
Regards
