Certainly you can. Run the analog audio out of your computer into an integrated amp or receiver and drive your bookshelf speakers with that. You will need a stereo ep ( earphone) mini to RCA chord.

This is the type of chord you would need to connect a Walkman or discman or ipod from its headhone socket to an amplifier / receiver.

Connect one end of this chord ( the mini ep ) to the audio out on yr laptop. The 2 RCA connectors to the Left and Right AUX ( Auxillary ) channel inputs on your receiver.

For the receiver to the Bose speakers, I suspect orinary household wire will be adequate.
